The latest round of the golf league saw just Stephen Berridge & Kev Bennett turn out to battle against the strong wind as well as the course. A very tight competition & some excellent golf saw Steve finish first with 6 pars, 2 birdies & an eagle. He now moves to the top of the league table ahead of Micky Clarke.
---------------------------------------------------- Last years Golf society weekend away was on the 18/19th October at Staverton Park in Northamptonshire. The main competition was held on the Sunday & was won by Roger Dumford with Paul Hern second. For more details on the Staverton Park Hotel, click on the link on the left ------------------------------------------------------ Last year the societies annual summer competition was held on Saturday 21st June & despite the weather not being what you would expect at this time of the year (or maybe you would) at good day was had by all those that attended. A 9 hole par 3 competition was held in the morning, won by Kev Bennett & the main 18 hole event held in the afternoon which was won by Maz Clarke with Paul Hern second & Chris Howe third. The longest drive was won by John Tilley & nearest the pin by Wes Jolly. Many thanks to Pat Fruin & John Clarke for organising the day.
