Although the weather has been a bit iffy we’ve managed to play all
our scheduled games so far.
We got off to a flying start with a comfortable win over Barrowby in
the Golding Shield, before being knocked around at home by Stoughton &
Thurnby the week after in our first league game.
Then we caused a bit of a stir at Egerton Park with a last ball win
in the Cup again. The latest victory came at Syston where we knocked off
143 with 8 overs left, to notch our first league win.
The league table hasn’t yet been published with so few games
concluded, but below is the group standings in The Golding Shield. So
far we lead the table after the second batch of games.
A promising start to the season for our newest team – Ancaster at Home in the Cup on Saturday 10th May.
